Wipro to buy LD Waxsons, a Singapore-based FMCG

Wipro, a consumer care goods and lighting, besides IT services signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100 per cent ownership in LD Waxsons, a Singapore-based FMCG company. The acquisition will be done for an all-cash consideration of $144 million (about Rs 784 crore), which is 2.1 times the Singapore company’s expected 2012 sales turnover of $68 million.
