Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata to open

The proposed new terminal at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata is being developed by the Thai-Indian consortium of ITD-ITD Cementation. The proposed project cost of the project is about Rs 2,500 crore. The new modernised terminal has missed at least three deadlines for its opening since August 2011. Airports Authority of India (AAI) is currently awaiting clearance from the (civil aviation) ministry.
The terminal does not yet have lounges for business class
