India adopted the concept of Large Taxpayer Units (LTUs) after a long time, following the principles of 50 other countries, including 20 from Asia, before going ahead with this tax reform. However, the main difference was that it kept the LTU system optional for large taxpayers unlike other country. Only India kept it as an optional scheme for large taxpayers.
