JK Tyres plans expansion at Mysore plant

J K Tyres and Industries Ltd (JKTIL) is planning to expand the production capacity of truck and bus radial tyres at an investment of Rs 476.5 crore at its Mysore plant in Karnataka. The Karnataka government has recently approved the company’s proposal to expand the capacity.
Once the expansion programme is completed, its capacity will go up to 1.06 million tyres from the present 367,000 tyres per annum. The company has indicated that it will fresh employ about 484 persons.
